My kids are old enough to remember Halloween in the 1980s, and when they were younger they had no idea what it was or what it involved.
“It was like the Wizard of Oz, only we were dressed up as zombies,” said Jennifer, whose mom, Kristin, was a costume designer at a boutique in New Jersey.
“I would always get nervous because I’d see my mom and my sister, and it’s so much fun and different and scary.
But I loved it.
And then when I got older, I learned it was just like Halloween.
It’s really fun.”
They’re right: Halloween is still pretty darn fun.
There are thousands of costume-making outlets around the country, but New Jersey is home to one of the country’s most prolific outfits creators.
The most famous of them is Lacey and Lacey Shaughnessy, who have been producing Halloween costumes since 2002.
And for the first time in decades, their Halloween costume business has been taking off.
Last year, they brought in $40 million from the market.
Their annual haul is growing even faster.
“We’re really thrilled with the number of people who are turning out Halloween costumes,” said Lacey.
“And this year, we’ve got more people coming to our booth because they want to see the show.”
Like the Wizard Of Oz, Halloween is a time for everyone to get together and share their fears, but unlike the Wizard, Halloween costumes are not just for kids.
“Everyone can dress up, you know, the adults can go out, and we can have our kids come and join us and help us,” said Kristin.
“So it’s a family event.”
But it’s not just about the costume.
The costume craze has also inspired others to follow suit.
One of the most popular Halloween costumes is the one you see on TV, in the movies and on the web.
And this year is no different.
The Internet is full of websites that cater to those who are too scared to wear their own.
“This year we’ve had a lot of people tell us, ‘Hey, if you do this costume, people will like you more,'” said Lacy.
“That’s what we love about Halloween.
When we started doing Halloween costumes, we were the only ones doing it.
But now there are lots of people doing it, so we’re just waiting for people to do it for us.”
And that’s exactly what they’ve been doing.
“There’s a whole community out there doing it,” said Kirsten.
“People are just making Halloween costumes because they love it.
They like the idea of being scared, and they love seeing other people do it.”
This year, Kristina and Lacy Shaughnessesy decided to create their own Halloween costumes.
“A lot of us are scared of spiders,” said Kristen.
“But I love it because it’s something to do with our own experience.
It really brings people together.”
This is how they got started.
“The idea started when we were at a party with some friends, and the first thing we talked about was, ‘Well, how about we make a costume out of spiders?'” said Kristina.
“Then we started brainstorming and trying to come up with the most terrifying ones, and then we just started going out and having fun.”
Kristin said they had a big party and didn’t want to leave, so they started going to costume stores around town.
“Kristen said we should just do a costume in a shopping mall,” said K.J. “She said, ‘That’s where we’re going to make the most costumes.'”
They were so impressed by the store, they bought the entire store, and now, every Halloween, the Shaughses have more than 300 costumes to choose from.
“Every time I go into a store, I feel like I’m in a haunted house,” said Kevin.
“Like I’m at a house of horrors.”
“It’s really nice,” said Jenni.
“They have all the costume ideas, and you can’t tell that it’s for kids.”
And they don’t stop there.
“If you’ve got a group of five kids, they’ll all have a costume,” said Jessica.
“When we do the Halloween costumes and we have more people doing them, we’re seeing people coming in from all over the country.”
“I’m always scared, but we don’t let it get in the way of having fun,” said Courtney.
“At the end of the day, it’s really about having fun, and being together and having a great time.”
It’s also a great way to pass the time, since they don.
“Even when we have parties and we’re all alone, there’s always something fun to do,” said Kathryn.
“Especially if it’s going to be Halloween.
If it’s Halloween, I want to have a party.”
“Maybe I’m not afraid, but I’m still
