By JENNIFER KIRK, Associated Press A little boy saved his mother’s life after she fell from a roof.
The family, including their infant son, had been sitting on the roof in a shopping center parking lot when the girl fell and hurt her neck.
She was rushed to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.
She was a healthy toddler and was expected to make a full recovery, said her mother, Liza Johnson.
But a baby had just been born, and the little boy was in the process of growing, said Johnson.
That baby’s name was Jaxon.
He was born prematurely, and his mother, who had an advanced lung disease, was given no medical help.
But Johnson said she was in no danger.
She said her son helped his mother breathe and was so much stronger than the baby, and that he helped the other family members keep their kids safe.
She called him a hero.
