A boutique has been described as “a place where you can make a little bit of a difference”.
In this case, that is by bringing in people to give a little extra to the community and to the cause.
A woman in her mid-50s from Manchester is one of the organisers of the charity “Save Paige” that offers free childcare for mothers and children under five.
She says that although she has a large family, the childcare is a real lifeline.
“My kids have had to go to school, I haven’t been able to work, so I don’t really have time to get up at 5am and go to the shops or do any of that.”
So it is really nice to have a place where we can help other families.
“We are going to be going into some really remote areas, so we don’t have to be out here, but we are going there for the childcare and I am just really excited to get to do that.”
Ms Maughan says that the charity is working to find homes for those who are in need of childcare, and has received several donations of baby clothes, baby essentials, baby wipes and baby bottles.
