When you fly the red flag

The best way to make a first impression is to fly the white flag.
A few months ago, the French company Fly Boutique decided to change the way it sold its merchandise.
Rather than selling directly through its website, it was making a more traditional approach: It started selling its products through a mobile app.
A surge in sales.
“The app has doubled our sales in just two months,” the company’s founder, Francesca Cerruti, tells me.
“We have a lot of customers now, but we have the same idea behind the app: It’s more about being able to see what we have and not having to ask questions, or to do a lot more research.”
As Cerrutti puts it, “the app allows us to be more transparent and less intrusive, which is a huge benefit.”
