How to Style a Spring Scarf

COAT: Nordstrom (last season, similar here) // TOP: J.Crew // JEANS: AG // HEELS: Sam Edelman // HANDBAG: Zac Posen // SCARF: H&M

One of my favorite accessories to date has always been a scarf. No matter the season, I feel like a scarf can add a subtle amount of detail to any outfit. In college, I was known as the scarf girl…but really ha! I probably had over 20 different scarves at a time, and would wear one like everyday. Borderline obsession, I know. These days, you won’t see me wearing a scarf everyday, but I still have quite a few in my closet!

Today I am teaming up with my One Nation Under Chic girls, to show you how to style this spring scarf nine different ways! We all have unique styles, and with spring being such a versatile season, seeing how we styled the scarf in our own way gives you so much inspiration on how to get the most out of an accessory that is under $20! Plus, we are giving one scarf away, head to my Instagram at 3pm EST time to see how to enter!

I chose to style this scarf as a bow. The multiple colors in the scarf compliment each other so well, that I kept the rest of my outfit pretty neutral. I love the way the bow sits just above my t-shirt line, and pairs perfectly with the style of my trench coat. The trench I am wearing is from last season, but linking a similar one here.

This look is perfect for the spring weather upon us, and I cannot wait to wear it again during a weekend with my girlfriends coming up! How is everyone’s March so far? I am working endlessly to create Sparkle Studio product to be added to my shop & to sell at SoWa come May! We just added mugs to the shop last night, check them out here!

Winter Pastels

Hi friends! It’s been a very long time since I came here and wrote a post, and I apologize! Like I mentioned in my previous post, I took some time to en joy the holiday season. It also took me a bit to get back into the swing of things. I am truly trying my best to get organized and stay on top of all I have to do, but when you have three jobs….life can get a little crazy sometimes!

I truly feel that 2017 will be my year to step up and fully take on blogging/Sparkle Studio as my full time career. In the mean time, I have to continue being consistent and creating blog posts, stationery, and inspiration for you all! The past week I have worked on getting all what I want to share with you down on paper, so now it’s time for me to create. I cannot wait to continue growing this blog and my stationery shop!

So today I am sharing my first fashion post of 2017! I love winter pastels, well…I just love pastels in general, but i love adding them into my wardrobe to brighten up the bold winter colors we always see. I saw this tassel tie blouse a few weeks ago, and immediately fell in love with the lavender color, it’s so feminine and could easily be transitioned as a spring or summer top!

I paired it with my favorite white denim, and gray over the knee boots. The day we shot this look, it was a breezy 12 degrees. I have chills just thinking of how cold it was! So, I took the chunkiest scarf I owned and paired it with the outfit…I have to say I love how it turned out! To add in a bold winter color, I wore my navy Elizabeth and James handbag- a winter classic!

What does everyone have planned this weekend? My best friends are heading into the city and we are celebrating mine, Bry’s, and Dana’s birthdays #winterbabies! I cannot wait to see them and have a relaxing night with them!

I hope you all have a great rest of the week. Thank you so much for the continued support, I cannot wait for the year ahead!

Boston Public Garden

DRESS: Nordstrom // HEELS: Vince Camuto (old, similar here) // SCARF: ASOS (love this and this one too!) // SUNGLASSES: Ray-Ban

Happy Wednesday, loves! Today I’m sharing a look inspired by my favorite afternoon pass time- a stroll in the park!

Though I don’t get to much often, walking in the Boston Public Garden is so calming to me. Being by the pond, walking over the bridge, and seeing the beauty of our city’s skyline is what I look forward to most about spending the day in the gardens. This look I am sharing today is one that I love to wear when spending time in the gardens, and then heading to dinner with my boyfriend.

This swing dress is a great afternoon outfit choice, especially for walks in the park! I love it because it’s simple enough to accessorize, like I did with this plaid scarf. It’s also great because the fit is flattering! My heels are form last season, but I linked a similar pair by the same brand above!

Plaid scarves are also another favorite way I love to layer my outfits, especially when it comes to dresses! They are so versatile, and can go with any neutral color!

I hope you all have a great day!

Blanket Scarves

One thing you need to know about me: I love scarves. Always have, always will. They just make me feel so comfortable in my outfit, plus allow this always cold girl to be warm in the frigid New England weather!

I found this scarf during the #NSALE and couldn’t wait any longer to wear it (though heads did turn last week while taking these photos..what’s a girl doing in 90 degree weather with a blanket scarf on?!). The colors of the scarf are so perfect for fall, and the material is SO soft. I paired it with one of my favorite sweaters for fall, dark denim, and lace up flats!

Below, I rounded up some of my favorite blanket scarves of the season! All are at a reasonable price, so make sure to stock up before they sell out! Blanket scarves, especially ones in plaid, always sell out so quickly because they are the perfect accent to any fall outfit!

How has everyone’s week been? I am so excited for the weekend! My mom and I have plans to go apple/pumpkin picking!

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Nordstrom Scarf // Jo Malone Fragrance // Tory Burch Handbag // Burberry Sunglasses // Kate Spade Watch // Patricia Green Slippers

Mother’s Day is something I always look forward to. Being the only girl (my parents blessed me with two younger brothers!), I have always been the one to make Mother’s Day the girly holiday it should be. As a young kid, I would wake up early that Sunday morning, make breakfast as best I could (sorry for the runny eggs mom!), run outside to our garden and pick the prettiest flower in the bunch and serve my mom breakfast in bed. Though we still love to keep this tradition alive with Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas, I like to give my mom something special along with my love now that I am older!

Jo Malone has come out with a fragrance that resembles exactly what spring and summer should be- fresh and clean. My mom and I were sitting at Starbucks one Saturday morning a few weeks ago when she smelt the sample of this fragrance in a magazine- and she instantly fell in love…so mom, if you’re reading, you already know what I am getting you! 😉

If fragrance isn’t your mom’s personal favorite, she may love other feminine accessories like this Tory Burch Handbag or Kate Spade Watch. I personally love this Nordstrom Scarf…and may pick one up for myself to match my mum!

My mom brought out the inner girly girl in me from a young age. I remember only wanting to wear dresses to preschool and my mom simply said “sure honey, why not.” Along with bringing out the girly side of me, she also has helped me to not take life so seriously. There is not one day I don’t see my mom smile or laugh, even through the toughest of times. This has shown me that through it all, a smile can help cure anything.

How do you plan on celebrating such a special day with your mom?
